Tie Your Shoes!

After many of training sessions with Dad (a few with Mom) you FINALLY can tie your shoes!!!!!!! We wondered if you were ever able to do it, but one day you told me that you could and I said and I needed you to show me that you really can and you did! Ya Avery!!!!!!!! Great job buddy!

ER Avery

Avery you have been doing so well with your spelling words, you have know to 107 words by sight by the end of your 1st grade year. You already know 95 of them NOW...Wow...I know your awesome....Anyways last week you got 7/10 on your spelling test the previous 3 weeks you had gotten 100%. So we were working on your spelling words and you were struggling with the word UNDER. You kept spelling the word without the letter E. So I repeat ER Avery...I did this about 5 or 6 times. So Toby walked around the house saying ER Avery.....ER Avery....You kids crack me up, I don't know what I would do without you guys! This picture above was taken when you were waiting for Grandma and Grandpa Robertson to come get you and take you to get Ice Cream, to celebrate you doing so well in school Avery, of course Toby got to come along this time at least!

Evan

Love this guy! He has been my happiest baby! Not that the other 2 haven't been happy, Avery you were my easiest baby, such a easy going guy I loved it! Toby you were my snuggle baby, you love blankets like your daddy and you loved to snuggle with him or me, Evan is my giggly baby you can make him smile no matter what! I love it!

No Throwing Food

Toby you learned very quickly not to throw food. You didn't want to eat you dinner so you decided to scream in the living room to protest what I was trying to give you for dinner, when I made you come in the kitchen you threw a huge fit and when I put your plate in front of you, you picked it up and threw it on the ground, I made you pick it up and put it back on the plate, you the whole entire time kept saying ewwww gross Mom! I kept saying well, if you didn't throw it on the ground you wouldn't have to be picking it up! Ha! Sorry!

6 Months Ago...

Above....right after birth and very pissed...below...not quite 6 months with Uncle Ben

It was 6 months ago today that I gave birth to a little boy named Evan! Time sure has flown by Mr Evan! You are such a fun boy I am so happy to have you in our family! You smile all the time, you love to talk and giggle. I love you my chunky monkey! Above is a picture of you and Uncle Ben, he wanted proof that he has infact held you! Look at your chunky cheeks and thunder thighs! I love it! Babies are supposed to be chunky!!!!!! Love you Evan!!

We have been potty training you Toby, and for a while you were doing awesome then you started going backwards, currently you will take all of your clothes off from the waist down AFTER you pee'd in your pants!!! You love your big boy pants it's quite cute! Here you are multi tasking...going see and brushing your teeth! Go you!

Drool Is Cool

Evan your favorite thing to do right now is to suck on your fist...and to drool on my shoulder! The moment I put you up over my shoulder you start to suck away! I had to change my shirt the other day because you soaked it! Your getting so big!!!

My Boys!

I finally was able to get a picture of all three of you guys! Only took 3 months but it's finally done!! Avery was happy and smiled wonderfully, Toby was giggling the whole time and Evan just layed there like a lump on a log...what can you expect your not even 3 months old! I have such cute boys!

Evan's Newest Buddy

Aunt Tammy gave you this puppy to play with and as you can see in the first picture you didn't like it at ALL, but you caved and now you like to hug him! Being only 2 1/2 months old it's kinda funny! All in all your still quite cute!

Evan updates

I am going to list off some random things about you Evan before I forget them. I am sure I have forgotten some already, it's crazy to think you have been apart of our lives for 2 months already!

1. When you were first born you would Hoot like an owl. You would be passed out asleep and out of no where you would start to hoot! You still will do it now but not nearly as often as you did before.

2. When you were born you came out PISSED....Screaming at the top of your lungs...it was the best cry ever! With both of your older brothers being NICU babies I was so happy you were not going to be one!

3. Like your brother Toby you love to sleep in your car seat...you also like to sleep on your belly but it for some reason scares me so until your older your sleeping in your car seat!

4. You are a Mommy's boy...for now! Toby is such a Daddy's boy and Avery is in the middle...so it's so NICE to have a Mama's boy..for now! It's nice to have you want to snuggle with me! I love it!

5. You have gone through 3 different types of formula so far and 2 different types of diapers and 2 different types of wipes!!! We think your stomach doesn't agree with Milk so we might be switching you to Soy here soon! The diapers and wipes it was just you skin didn't like certain types so we had to switch around!

6. You LOVE blankets..you are already like Toby & Daddy! Blankets with you at all times!

7. You will sleep whenever I am awake...the MOMENT I close my eyes.....you wake up! And at night you like to fuss and make noise and still be asleep...you fuss just enough to wake me up I check on you (your bed is right next to my side of the bed) and your passed out....Some nights it drives me bonkers!

8. You grunt more than any kid I know! You will sitting there and just start grunting away, it's really quite funny!

9. You LOVE being held....you will throw a HUGE fit until someone picks you up, then you are happy and usually fall asleep but if we put you down, man alive you get pissed!!!

10. I love you & your brothers so much! I am glad you are apart of our family!

Evan!

Evan Shaffer

So baby brother Evan is finally here! Born March 30th 2010 at 10:48 AM he was 6lbs 4oz and 18 inches long, the exact same as Toby! Toby you keep calling him your baby and Avery you were more interested in playing with Toby when we were up at the hospital, when people asked if you liked your new baby brother you let out this HUGE sigh and said....yeahhhhhhh! LOL boys are so funny! I love you boys, I can't believe I am a Mom of you all!

Toby lately you have been going pee in the toilet, when we change your diaper we ask you if you want to go potty in the toilet and if you need to go you tell us yes. Today you were throwing a fit when Dad was trying to change your diaper, so he asked if you wanted to go potty, it was this morning so we were also changing you out of your Pj's and into your clothes for the day. So wearing your birthday suit you and I went into the bathroom to have you go potty. You for some reason wouldn't let me put you on the toilet and you started to scream, then you ran out of the bathroom and stood in the hallway and not 30 seconds later you started to go pee! & in the hallway!! After you finished going (during this whole time Dad and I are laughing) you said Oh No! Went and got my bath towel and started to clean up the "mess" you made! That made us laugh even harder! It's a good thing your so darn cute! Your only 2 so it was funny...if you were 22...ya probably wouldn't be laughing!

Don't Try To Make You.....

Yup...that's right Toby, if you don't want your picture taken....don't try to make you because this will happen....the last picture is you still throwing a fit 5 minutes later in the living room....sigh....can I say terrible 2's?!?!?!

When did you turn into a big boy?

Yesterday Toby, you went potty in the big boy toilet! Yes I know seems dumb to you, but it's quite awesome to me! I decided not to take a picture of you sitting on said toilet, although I could totally use it later on for blackmail! Here's a picture of us taken today....enjoy big boy! I can't believe your almost 2 1/2! Time has flown by really quick!

Papa & His Boys

Both of you demanded to sit on Papa's lap....Avery you got to go to church with Papa yesterday and he was bringing you home, Toby you stayed home with Me & Daddy mainly because your nap times is from Noon ish till 3ish and Papa's church is from 1PM to 4PM....Maybe when you get a little older or when Papa's Church time changes!

Nicknames

Avery:

A nickname grandma Robertson gave you as a baby...Frog Legs! You had SUCH tiny little legs....and you would always keep them tucked up like a frog would sooo funny! About a week after you were born she made a comment...now I know why you would complain when he would kick! Look at these legs! As you got older I gave you the nickname Bubby & now it's brother.

Toby:

When you were first born for the first few months Daddy would call you Lord Formula cause well it kind comes with being a baby.......Mc Tubbins when you got chucky cheeks...Tubby Two....and now Tubbers....

Who knows what the future nickname will be!!!!

The Lack Of Eating For Toby....

My dear Toby, lately you have decided not to eat! You eat VERY little all day long, to the point I have been giving you slim fast in your sippy cup at nap time and at night so that you get the vitamins and protein your missing througout the day. But today you ate all three meals! Yay!!!! You had eggs for breakfast, gerber raviolis for lunch and a slice of pizza for dinner and a apple for a snack! I am so happy you ate today! Now if you can just keep this up I will be giddy! You normally eat all your meals but the past few weeks you have been quite picky, and get really upset if we try to get you to eat. My friend Cami (Gavin's Mommy) suggested to let you choose what you want for lunch and it worked! Let's keep this up!

Avery's 2nd Tooth...Gone!

Avery...with a little help with me and a bribe to Burger King for dinner we were able to wiggle out your 2nd tooth out...it's been quite wiggly for several weeks now and the new tooth was coming in and it looked like it I let it continue coming in as far back as it was it would cause you some pain....so out it came! You did a great job....! 2nd tooth down...more to come I am sure of it!

Mcdonalds!

Happy boys & creepy toys!

Dad has been in Elko NV since yesterday So I decided to treat the both of you to McDonalds for dinner tonight, you were both VERY happy! You did however get some creepy looking toys, and since I got a kids meal as well, we now have 3 of these creepy looking toys! Dad will be back tomorrow night and Avery you said you can't wait for him to come home and Toby you just keep walking around asking for Dada randomly like you were looking for a lost puppy!

Bath Time

Toby....You sure do love Bath Time!!! You are currently running from room to room screaming at the top of your lungs giggling and such...it's your newest favorite thing to do...and if Dad or I ask what you are doing? You respond with a huge answer...in full baby talk...you are such a cute kid! Lately you finally decided to stop calling Daddy, Mommy and finally started to call him Dada...your Dad is soooo happy!!! Considering you are SUCH a Daddy's boy!

Arm Farts

Avery: So while I was in the kitchen today, you came in and showed me that you can do arm farts....(sigh already showing signs that you are a total boy!) I told you that it was a gross talent and you responded...I know it's great huh! Ohhh you are growing up way to quick! I did however laugh after you left the room!

No More Bed Wetting!

Avery: You had mastered the bed wetting a LONG time ago, but then you got a UTI and it set you back almost a year but you have FINALLY mastered it and I no longer have to make you wear pull ups..yay!! Go Avery!! We are going to celerbrate but I just don't know what so thus you don't know about it yet! I'm sure I will post it when I finally decide what we will do for ya! Good job buddy, Dad and I are quite proud of ya!

Juice Mom...Juice

Toby: I was laying down on the couch half awake half asleep while you watched TV and played with your toys. The next thing I know you are smacking me in the head with your sippy cup stating Juice Mom...Juice Mom...Juice.....I think you were thirsty..but then again when are you not!?! It's a good thing I love ya!

Sick Toby

Toby: Today you were quite sick, we took you to Wee Care on Wednesday night with a 103.6 temp. Dad and I were worried about you, thankfully today you started to perk up after you got up from your Looooong nap. This morning you, me & Avery watching TV in the living room while you layed on me drinking juice, you even at a Popsicle, orange...your favorite. You haven't been eating for the past few days, because your throat is so sore so I was quite excited that you finally at SOMETHING! I put you to bed around 7 tonight, you were just so tired you didn't even fight it, and when I went to check on your a few hours later you were still in the exact same spot that we left you in, was totally shocked me because you normally are on top of your blankets on the other side of the crib! I am hoping this weekend you will start to feel like yourself again! I hate seeing you or Avery so sick!

First Post

I am doing this 2nd blog, mainly as a online diary of my boys. They do so much and I want to remember as much as I can so that hopefully one day they can look back on this and see what our everyday lives were like.

Avery: Today you did your homework so well! You only missed to words on the first try, not bad at all! You have been sick for the past few days but thankfully it's nothing worse than a nasty cold. You lost your first tooth back on December 18th and the tooth next to it has been really loose you should loose that one here pretty quick! You had today and yesterday off from school so you have been playing at home with Toby & Uncle Virgil. You are really excited to go back to school tomorrow, to see all of your friends.

Toby: You have been sick since you got back from visiting family up at the farm over the weekend, both you and Avery went but it seems like you got sicker than Avery, you didn't want to really eat anything today and you were quite cranky, you mainly wanted to be held. (which is not an easy task with Mom being 6 almost 7 Months Pregnant with your brother!) You didn't even want to eat a sucker that I offered you several times! (It was a medicine one). You have been talking up a storm lately, we can't understand you but man do you have ALOT to say! I love hearing you talk in your own Toby Talk.

Baby Boy: Man alive do you like to kick!!! You are very much so like your older brother Toby, you do NOT like anything on your belly! If Daddy or I put on hand on the belly you will kick up a storm! I will be 7 months pregnant as of Sunday. I feel like I am the size of a whale!!! I love love LOVE feeling you kick, and the doctor says your looking great! We have a name picked out for you but we are keeping it a secret until a later date (Sometime in March). I had some contractions that were hurting so much I had to go visit Labor & Delivery late Sunday night, it would be GREAT if you would stop doing this and stay put until I say so! I am totally ok if you come anytime AFTER April 1st. But until that date don't even think about comming out...please?
